Limits

The supplementary licence, Octalarm Link¹, is suitable for the Touch Pro and is included as standard with the ARA-Pro Next. Both alarm diallers feature two Ethernet ports: eth0 and eth1.

Good to know: Both Ethernet ports support communication via the REST API connection.

Note: The system enforces limits for the maximum number of interfaces, locations, categories, and alarms.

The following limits apply:

• 8 REST API connections;
• 16 global locations;
• 128 global categories;
• A maximum of 100 unique alarms active at any time.

Additional information:

• You may assign all 16 locations to a single REST API connection or distribute them across all REST API connections.
• You may assign all 128 categories to one location or distribute them among multiple locations.
• The dialler accepts up to 100 unique alarms active simultaneously. If you exceed this, the dialler returns an HTTP ERROR 400.
