Cancelling Octalarm Connect

Note:

1. The Octalarm Connect subscription has a minimum duration of one year (fixed-term contract). Thereafter, we automatically convert your subscription to a rolling contract.
   
   
2. After the first year, you may cancel in writing with one calendar month's notice. Cancellations always take effect on the first day of the month.

How to cancel Octalarm Connect in writing

• Send an Email to info@adesys.nl with the subject: Cancellation Octalarm Connect.
• Please mention in your Email:
  • The serial number of the specific alarm dialler. You can find this serial number on your invoice or in the system information of the dialler. Access this via the question mark icon on the start screen () or via Settings | General | System information.
  • The reason for cancellation.
• For the sake of clarity, please include the latest invoice for the subscription in question.

Once we have received your cancellation, you will receive a confirmation Email stating the end date of your subscription. We will stop the automatic payment as of this date.

Transferring your subscription to a new owner

You cannot transfer the Octalarm Connect subscription to a new owner.

We are legally required to retain invoices for seven years. For this reason, the account cannot simply be changed to another company name. In the event of a takeover, we will ensure together that the new subscription immediately follows the old one.

How to manage a transition during takeover

1. The current owner cancels the Octalarm Connect subscription.
   See How to cancel Octalarm Connect in writing for instructions. The confirmation Email will state the end date of the subscription.
   
   
2. The new owner creates a company account in advance.
   If the new owner does not yet have a company account on the portal, have one created and add users immediately. See The portal: portal.octalarm.com | Setting up the Octalarm portal. The new account will then be ready so that, on the end date of the previous subscription, the new subscription can be activated.
   
   
3. The new owner activates Octalarm Connect on the expiry date.
