Adesys Alarm app
Good to know: the Adesys Alarm app has been developed especially for Octalarm alarm diallers. The app is available for iOS (App Store) and Android (Google Play). You can use this app for FREE!
With the Adesys Alarm app on your smartphone, you have instant insight into the status of your (linked) diallers, anytime and anyplace. You can set up and manage your (linked) diallers remotely and easily accept alarms with, for example, your fingerprint, iris scan or smartphone unlock code (depending on the capabilities of your smartphone).
Note: to use app alerting:
1. connect the dialler to the internet;
2. enable the web portal on the alarm dialler (see Settings|Interfaces|Web portal for further explanation);
3. you need a free company account at portal.octalarm.com (see The portal: portal.octalarm.com: Create company account for further explanation).
Set up app alerting (push notifications)
Explained step-by-step:
1. Invite user to portal.octalarm.com
See The portal: portal.octalarm.com: Add user(s) for further explanation. To confirm, the new user will receive an Email.
Note: have the new user verify their login for the portal via the Email sent. They need this login for app alerts!
2. Add the relevant device to the company account
If the dialler is not already linked to the company account, add it. See The portal: portal.octalarm.com: Pair alarm dialler(s) for further explanation.
3. Download the Adesys Alarm app for Apple or Android

Let the user log in with their portal account.
4. Add the user as a contact in the Octalarm alarm dialler
- See Contacts|Add and edit for further explanation on how to create a new contact or edit an existing one.
- Under call media, choose
Email/app
. See Contacts|Add and edit: Contact information for further explanation on adding or changing call media.Note: use the Email address you entered for the user on the portal.
- Click
Save

5. Add the user to a call list or create a new call list App
- See Contacts|Call lists for further explanation on how to create a new call list or edit an existing call list.
- Add the new contact and select app alert under call media.
- Click
Save

6. Link the call list App to the desired alarm input
If you have supplemented an existing call list with a new user and this call list is already associated with the desired alarm input, you can skip this step.
In this last step, you link the call list to the alarm. See Alarms|Configuring inputs for further explanation.
Tip: activate Critical Alarm for maximum sound when using app alerts; even when your mobile is on silent.
