Output
The alarm dialler has two open-drain outputs and two relay outputs. You can configure each output to function as one of the following:
-
External buzzer
You can configure the external buzzer inAlarms(see Alarms | Configuring inputs: Alarm settings (left-hand side) Buzzer for more information). The output follows the alarm buzzer. When the dialler’s buzzer sounds, the output is energised (voltage present). When you accept the alarm, the output is de-energised (no voltage). -
External strobe light
When an alarm is active, the output is energised (voltage present) and the strobe light is on. The strobe light switches off only when there are no active alarms. -
Switchable
With this function, you can control an output manually via the dialler dashboard, the web GUI (remote configuration) or the app. When you enable this function, the relevant output appears under the extra switch icon (), and you can switch it.
You can choose between two switching modes:
-
Static
The output remains switched on or off until you change it manually. -
Pulse
The output becomes active for the configured time after you switch it on. The output then switches off automatically.
Switchable outputs operate independently of notifications, statuses and other Octalarm functions. This means you can always control these outputs directly.
