Tip: we recommend using the international format of numbers when entering a contact. For example, a Dutch mobile number would be +31612345678, in which +31 is the country code.

Note: it is important to set the correct country code when:
1. you do not use the international format for contacts’ phone numbers;
2. there is a PSTN connection that does not support this format.
The alarm dialler has a list of default codes for each country.

Change country code

  • Go to Settings.
  • In the navigation, scroll to Country codes.
  • Click Edit and adjust the data. Choose default settings or manual settings.
  • Click Save.

Using default settings

  • Click the double arrows at Default by country.
  • Select the default setting of the respective country.

Explanation of country codes

To dial out using PSTN, GSM and SIP, country codes convert entered phone numbers into international format (GSM and SIP) and local format (PSTN).

Local format (PSTN): area code - subscriber number

The area code consists of two parts:

  • the long-distance access number (= a one- or two-digit code used to call within a specific country); usually a 0;
  • the specific area code (= the first 3 or 4 digits of a telephone number).

The subscriber number is the number of the specific extension.

Example local format

Phone number Adésys - 0174 794022

Area codeSubscriber number
0 (long-distance access number) 174 (specific area code)794022

International format (GSM and SIP): international access number - country code - area code - subscriber number

Good to know: the international format does not include the long-distance access number.

The international access number is a series of digits to start an international call.

The country code is a number that identifies a specific country. Each country has its own unique country code.

Example international format

Phone number Adésys - 00 31 174 794022

0031174 (specific area code)794022
