ARA

Note: An Adésys engineer will help you install and set up the ARA-Pro Next on site. This process typically takes one day and includes training for your operators.

  1. We strongly recommend this service when you are using ARA-Pro Next for the first time.

  2. This service is required if you are upgrading from ARA-Pro version 5 to ARA-Pro Next, as it involves migrating your database. (For large systems with extensive Dupline I/O or duty schedules, database migration means you do not need to enter all settings again in ARA-Pro Next.)

Tip: You can ensure a smooth installation by preparing your implementation before the engineer visits. See Preparing implementation for guidance.

Good to know:

  1. ARA-Pro Next operates on an ARA-Touch Pro. You can set up the dialler in the same way as with the Touch Pro (see all chapters under Alarm dialler settings).

  2. You complete the Further setup of ARA via Remote setup. For more information, see The portal: portal.octalarm.com and Remote setup (local).

  3. The Duty schedule module and Octalarm Link come as standard modules in ARA. Read the relevant sections under Additional Products for guidance on configuring these licences.
