Good to know: In Flowchart and example situations (with roadmap), we use three examples to explain how to configure the components of the duty schedule module.

A service group is a group of contacts within a discipline in your organisation that handles a specific type of alarm. For example: Climate or Technical Services. To control who receives alerts, link a service group to an alarm input. When an alarm occurs, the system alerts the relevant discipline.

By default, there are two service groups:

  • All contacts: automatically generated list of all contacts with a phone number. This service group is linked to all inputs by default, so an alarm always reports out;

  • Administrators: automatically generated list of all contacts with the authority Administrator whose phone number you have entered. The system uses this service group if the system failure No one scheduled occurs.

You cannot use these default service groups in the duty schedule. To get started with the duty schedule, create at least 1 new service group.

Alerting to a service group

All inputs linked to a service group use the weekly schedule of that service group. The duty schedule then determines who the system calls, based on the shift or shifts you set.

If you have not created any shifts yet, the system calls contacts from the service group in the order set in the service group.

Contacts within a service group

When you add contacts to a service group, you can set personal preferences for:

  • call media (app alerts, voice alerts, text notification , Email alerts, pager alerts) for Daytime and/or Nighttime;
  • whether or not there is a Time to accept.

Good to know: You can add up to 10 contacts to a service group.

After you configure your service groups and add the required contacts, schedule these contacts in shifts.

Tip: You can also create and edit service groups on the dialler. On the dialler, go to Contacts, press Service groups, then add or edit a service group.
