Can a company network firewall block the connection to the alarm dialler?

Yes, that's possible. A company’s network firewall may prevent the alarm dialler from connecting to the Octalarm portal (portal.octalarm.com).

Solution

If your network firewall blocks all outgoing and incoming connections by default, you must adjust the firewall settings to allow the alarm dialler to access the web interface.
