You and your client can prepare for a smooth ARA-Pro Next installation before the Adésys engineer arrives. Follow the checklist below to ensure a successful and efficient start.

Step-by-step explanation

1. Copy ARA-Pro 5 database

Only for customers migrating from ARA-Pro 5 to ARA-Pro Next.

If you wish to migrate from ARA-Pro 5 to ARA-Pro Next, please send a copy of your ARA-Pro 5 database to marcel@adesys.nl before the implementation day. This allows Adésys to arrange your migration in advance.

Creating the database copy in ARA-Pro 5

  • Copy all the separate files from c:\ara\data into a zip file.

    Note: Do not include any backup or temp folders from c:\ara\data.

  • Email the zip file to marcel@adesys.nl.

2. Climate computer with ARA licence

The installer or end client must purchase the required licence from the climate computer supplier. Activate this licence before the planned implementation date.

3. Duty schedule preparation

Before commissioning, make sure you have the following information ready:

  • All contact details, including Email addresses and telephone numbers, for service/repair technicians, operators, administrators, and so on.
  • A complete overview of the duty schedule (staff planning for each breakdown service).

4. Dupline hardware preparation

Only relevant if you (re)use Dupline hardware.

If you are (re-)using or installing Dupline modules, please determine the necessary hardware in consultation with Adésys before implementation.

5. Network preparation

You require at least one fixed IP address for ARA-Pro Next. If you use a technical network that also includes the climate computer, arrange for two fixed IP addresses. Ensure these IP addresses are available on the installation day.

6. Octalarm Connect XL option

Is the client choosing Octalarm Connect XL?

  • Yes: Adésys will activate the service on the installation day.
  • No: As the end client, provide your own SIM card (with subscription, call minutes, and data bundle) on the installation day.

7. Is the client opting for Octalarm Connect VoIP only XL

If you wish to use your own SIM card, but also want to add a VoIP telephone as a second line, you can choose Octalarm Connect VoIP only XL.

  • Yes: We will activate the VoIP-only service on the day of installation.
  • No: If you choose to use your own VoIP connection, ensure it is available and ready on the day of installation.

8. Presence of the administrator/operator

On the day of commissioning, Adésys provides explanation and training. The administrator or operator must be available throughout the day.
